Recent Weather

We received over an inch of water Friday with the freezing line around 1000 feet. This translated into 8 inches of snow at 1500 feet and probably around a foot of snow towards the upper mountains. Moderate wind loaded western aspects.

Expect isolated showers through the weekend with the freezing line climbing above our local peaks. Avalanches are possible, especially as temperatures increase, but should be limited to the new snow. Lack of snow below 1000 feet should prevent activity from affecting the highway. Precipitation will increase Monday, keeping the hazard elevated into next week.
