Recent Weather

We’ve received 0.3 inches of water so far this morning, with moderate winds loading western aspects. Temperatures are rising, causing snow to change over to rain at sea level. Another ½ inch of water is expected through the rest of today. Avalanches may occur but probably won’t reach the highway. Backcountry users should avoid steep wind loaded slopes at tree line and above.

We should see a quick weather break Monday before the next storm arrives Monday night. Models suggest an inch of water into Tuesday with even warmer temperatures than today. The avalanche hazard may increase then.
