Recent Weather

Our snow pack was well tested 2 weeks ago with heavy rain to our local peaks. Light scattered snow since then has bonded well. Above tree line, variable wind has moved available snow into protected depressions. Increasing solar radiation has created some snow balling and a melt freeze crust on steep southern aspects.

Expect dry weather to continue through the week. Temperatures look to get cold and northeast winds moderate. Rapidly increasing sunshine may cause some more snow balling on steep southern aspects, but activity should remain small.
